The first journey of the Comenius Project to France took place from March 20th – 24th 2013. At this meeting about 50 Comenius students and 12 teachers met from countries such as France, Spain, Sweden and Germany. After the arrival day where we were allocated to our guest families, the work on the Project began on March 24th 2013. In the beginning we worked in small groups on themes that we had already prepared at home. The members of the “Work & Education” group showed us the school system of their home country. In the afternoon we visited the Lycée Odilon Redon according to one of the topics which is called “Education”. Furthermore, the students learned more about some local companies by visiting a vineyard and an oyster farm. After this we made a beautiful trip to “Dune du Pyla” where we were able to get to know each other better.
The “Media Group” created a questionnaire about this topic. All students had to fill it in with the aim to compare the results, what happened throughout the weeks after the meeting. Concerning the Swedish topic “Environment”, we took some water samples in order to compare them with samples from the other countries. To make clear that you have to regard the topic “Sports & Movement” not only from a sporting point of view, but also historically, we created a timeline with the most important and events that connect the 4 countries. This timeline and some posters about typical sports were displayed in the French school. On Saturday we started our “Photo-Rallye”. In small groups we took some pictures which should match the different topics. In the afternoon we prepared our evening event with guests like politics, press and parents. Here we informed the people about the topics and aims of our project and its progress. Different texts in the several languages of the group “Literature” were presented in the evening, pupils read and performed them live on stage together with a French musician, with the aim to find out about the sounds and tonality of the different languages and they how these texts carried messages in different ways.
All in all the travel to France was very interesting and inspiring especially due to the early beginning of spring. The farewell wasn´t really easy for us, but it was clear to everyone that we would see each other again in Sweden, Spain or Germany.
Now we’ve received a new video for our homepage. The video is about the Gymnasium Pullach, the partner school in Germany. Be sure to check it out because here you can get a glance at how the school looks like and what to expect upon your visit in Germany in May 2014.
This is the first newsletter about the Comenius project. Be sure to read it and to comment on it if you like. More of this kind are sure to come very soon. The charge of this newsletter will be the Badalonian school of this project. Enjoy!
German students have already made the Kickoff event. You can see some pictures and read about it in our Comenius webpage. They have already made a questionnaire with some questions dealing with our Comenius project. All students will fill them in and we will discuss about the results in Pauillac.
French students and teachers are preparing our meeting. They have sent some records to show us French literature. We think they are great and we are looking forward to listening to other countries records.
Moreover they have told us who is going to host us and we are in contact with them.
The Swedish people are working on April’s meeting. They have built our project’s webpage. It is really interesting to see how each country is working.
We did a students’ selection to decide who will participate in the Comenius Project. We shot a video to show Badalona and the best video was selected to represent our city in the project. Finally we have taken some photos to represent Badalona’s nature.
Yesterday, the webmaster received a very nice video from the school in Badalona.
In this video, you’ll be able to enjoy the nice city with everything from beaches and sea promenades to skating parks and basketball. Have fun watching this movie, which is made by four students from our Comenius school in Badalona!

On the 24th of October the Kick-Off Event of the Comenius project took place at the Gymnasium Pullach.
The purpose of this event was to inform the citizens of Munich and Pullach about our participation and to give them an overview of our Comenius project.
Among many interested students, parents and other people there were three local politicians from different parties and the deputy mayor of Pullach as well as the press to listen to the presentations.
After a short but cordial reception the students opened the evening with a little sketch to attract the audience’s attention and to show the networks which unite Europe.
Afterwards our headmistress Mrs. Einzel-Bergmann delivered a speech, in which she expressed her pride to be a part of this project and that she wished all the best to the participants for the next two years. The deputy mayor also paid his tribute to the school.
At last Mrs. Kokos and Mr. Stellwag said a few words and thanked everybody who helped the school to become part of this project and especially those who helped organizing this event.
Moreover, some presentations about Comenius in general, the schools, our topic and some expectations followed, always shown by students who were involved in the project. After each talk the school band played a song which represented one of the participating countries.
Altogether it was an enjoyable evening that ended with the European hymn, sung by all students and teachers who organized this great event and a buffet with typical food from each country.
Here is, what the German Press wrote about our event:
